Barbara E. Stone,
formerly known as Barbara Stone Fitzgerald,
uses her formal training and years of painting
experience in all mediums to create vibrant,
colorful pastel paintings. She is able to dynamically
express the unique beauty of Cape Cod and New
England with her lyrical interplay of strokes.
In the past six years, Barbara Stone's work
has been exhibited in shows
throughout Cape Cod. Selected awards include
People's Choice awards in 2004 and 2005 at the
Annual Members Show of the Pastel Painters Society
of Cape Cod (PPSCC) and First Place in the Cape
Cod Art Association's 2004 Open Winter Show.
Since 2005 Ms. Stone has served as President
of the PPSCC and is an Artist Mentor in the
Cape Cod Museum of Art's Art Education Program.
